Johnstone Strait, Blackfish Sound and Robson Bight are world renowned for the high concentration of orcas that return each summer to feast on migrating salmon. There is no better place in the world to see orcas. Over the past few years Humpback whales have once again taken up residence during the summer (after an absence of nearly 50 years).

For this tour a water taxi will take you to and from thebase camp to maximize your time kayaking the areas that the orcas and humpback whales are most likely to bee seen. Whileyour chances to spot orcas and other whales are excellent Johnstone Strait and the surrounding area teems with other marine life such as dolphins, porpoises, seals, sea lions and numerous inter-tidal creatures.
