Kayak in Queen Charlotte Strait,
Port Hardy
6 Day/5 Night $1,445 CDN All-Inclusive
This is an impressive paddling excursion due to the rich inter
tidal and marine mammal life of the area. Some of the large
mammals often seen include humpback whales, Minke whales,
pacific white sided dolphins, Dall's porpoises, sea lions
and orcas. The inter tidal life is spectacular, some of the
best on the BC coast. Many scuba divers come from around the
world to experience the vast variety of inter tidal life and
we can see much of it right from our kayaks during low tides.
The tour begins with a water taxi ride from Port Hardy to
God's Pocket Provincial Park and we spend six days and five
nights exploring the many channels and islands that are off
the northern tip of Vancouver Island.
While the first 4 days of this trip is very similar to the
shorter 4 day "God's
Pocket" tour we spend the last 2 days paddling some
of the more rugged and exposed coastline that stretches northwest
along Vancouver Island. To allow you to paddle as much territory
as possible without having to back track we return to Port
Hardy on the last day of the tour by water taxi.
