who provide Whale and Wildlife Watching Boat Tours. If you
want to be sure to see Whales during your visit to our region
I highly suggest going on a tour. High Season is
Mid July to September.
When Orca are not in the area there are many other types of
wildlife to see on these boat tours.

This company offers eco-friendly tours and food.
You will have your
choice of a sailing vessel (14 passenger) or a open motor
cruiser.
Fresh baked organic
muffins and “Devonshire Tea” – scones, whipped
cream, jam, organic Earl Grey tea. Baked goods are freshly
prepared during the voyage. I would go just for the food!
The tranquil experience with nature and wildlife is offered
in a 5 hour or an 8 hour tour, departing from Alert
Bay or the Port McNeill
area. Please note: the boat motors to the area where
the whales are and only sails if the weather conditions are
appropriate. This company also has an open 40' vessel that
is ideal for larger group booking.

Departing from Telegraph Cove – a “Must
Do” during your visit to the North Island.
This company has
been offering tours to the public since 1980.The staff know
where to find wildlife for your viewing pleasure. A naturalist
is always on board to answer your questions.
These 3.5 hour tours
begin late May and run to early October. Group tours are welcome!
Be sure visit the Killer Whale Interpretive Centre while at
the cove.
